Michael Winters

Michael Winters has a strong background in finance and accounting with experience in various roles. Michael is currently working as a Production Controller at Bona since April 2022. Before that, Michael worked at ConocoPhillips for many years, starting in 2008.

During their time at ConocoPhillips, Michael held multiple positions, including Closing and Volumes Analyst, CXL System Superuser, Commercial Accountant, Natural Gas Settlements Accountant, and Clean Products and NGL Accountant. In these roles, they demonstrated proficiency in using tools such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, SAP, and Right Angle for various financial and accounting tasks.

Some of Michael's notable achievements include improving invoice creation procedures and developing electronic invoice approval processes, which reduced invoice creation time and allowed for remote payments. Michael also played a key role in system cleanups and upgrades, effectively reducing reportable item counts and addressing audit deficiencies. Additionally, Michael led conference calls with customers to settle invoice differences and ensured accurate financial statements and reconciled bank statements for joint ventures.

Michael Winters completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Economics at Baylor University from 2004 to 2008. Michael then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science in Accountancy degree from the University of Houston between 2019 and 2020. Currently, from 2021 to 2024, they are attending Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business to obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
