Kate Flitcroft, FGA, serves as Co-Head of Jewellery in the UK at Bonhams since July 2021, and also holds the positions of Senior Jewellery Specialist and Auctioneer. In addition, Kate is a Board Member at Gem-A since October 2022 and has been a Jewellery and Silver Expert for the BBC's Antiques Roadshow since April 2018. Previously, Kate worked as a Gemmology Tutor at Gem-A from February 2017 to August 2021 and was the Head of Jewellery and Silver at Lyon & Turnbull from August 2017 to July 2021. Kate's extensive experience in the auction industry includes roles at Christie's from September 2006 to April 2017, culminating in the position of Associate Director. Earlier career highlights include working as a Junior Project Designer and Historical Researcher at Andrews and Anderson. Academically, Kate holds multiple degrees and diplomas, with a BA in Architecture and History from Washington University in St. Louis, an MLitt in Modern and Contemporary Art from Christie's Education/University of Glasgow, and qualifications in Gemmology from the Gemmological Association.
