Tama Tochihara

Tama Tochihara is an experienced professional in historic preservation and environmental compliance, currently serving as the Asian American & Pacific Islander Special Emphasis Program Manager and Supervisory Historian at Bonneville Power Administration since June 2016. With a robust background as a Historic Preservation Consultant since 2005, projects have included numerous surveys, preservation planning, and compliance work for various public and private entities. Previous roles also encompass teaching as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Oregon and working as a Historic Preservation Specialist at Heritage Research Associates, where over 200 Section 106 Compliance Projects were completed. Tama Tochihara holds a Master of Arts in Historic Preservation Planning from Cornell University and has degrees in Education Policy Studies and History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
