Elisabeth Halmø has a diverse work experience in various media and content-related roles. Elisabeth currently holds the position of Executive Vice President & Chief Content Officer at Bonnier Publications A/S since May 2020. Additionally, they serve as a Board Member at DPCMO - Danish Press Publications' Collective Management Organisation and Bonnier Publications International AS.
Prior to their current roles, Halmø worked at Canal Digital AS, where they held the positions of Director of Content & Partner Marketing, Nordics from February 2019 to May 2020, and Nordic Editor In Chief & Production Manager from July 2018 to February 2019. Their responsibilities included leading the production team, operational planning, SEO, and achieving ambitious targets for content campaigns in Nordic markets.
Halmø also has experience as a Board Member at Pressworks, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Content House AS, and Founder of Flow Media AS. In these roles, they focused on editorial content production, digital marketing, and social media marketing.
Elisabeth began their career at Microsoft, MSN as an Editor in Chief and Head of SEO, managing a content production team and collaborating across EMEA. Elisabeth later worked at Egmont as a Digital Managing Editor, where they built and managed a digital department and served as an Editor in Chief.
Throughout their career, Halmø has demonstrated expertise in editorial strategy, content management, performance marketing, and leadership.
Elisabeth Halmø has a diverse education history. In 1998-2000, they studied Journalism at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University. Elisabeth continued their studies in 2004-2006 at Gjøvik University College, focusing on Media Convergence. In 2007, they pursued Organizational Psychology and Management at BI Norwegian Business School. In 2022, they obtained a degree in Design Thinking from Hasso Plattner Institute. In 2022-2023, they completed an Executive MBA at BI Norwegian Business School. Furthermore, they attended the School of Management at Fudan University in 2023. Finally, they obtained a degree in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley in 2023. Elisabeth Halmø also holds additional certifications in "Managing the Company of the Future" from London Business School and "Digital Branding and Engagement" from Curtin University.
