Tyler Niday

Tyler Niday has a diverse work experience in the field of robotics and engineering. Tyler co-founded Bonsai Robotics in 2022 and currently serves as the CEO. Prior to that, they worked at Blue River Technology from 2015 to 2022, holding various roles including Head of Engineering, Construction Autonomy and Senior Manager, Mechatronics and Robotic Integration, Autonomy. Before joining Blue River Technology, Tyler worked at Orchard Machinery Corporation as a Research and Development Engineer from 2012 to 2015. Tyler started their career at the Irrigation Training and Research Center as a System Engineer from 2009 to 2012.

Tyler Niday holds a Masters of Science in Engineering and Management with a focus on System Design and Management (SDM) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Tyler also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in BioResource and Agricultural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as an IFR pilot and a private aircraft pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration.
