William Cates

William Cates is a skilled robot assembly technician at Apptronik, specializing in the methodical assembly of robotic components and the testing of robotic assemblies using precision instruments. With experience in electrical component assembly, quality assurance, and customer support, William also incorporates Onshape 3D modeling and surface mount soldering into work. In addition to technical roles, William serves as a fight choreographer and actor suit performer at BookPeople, planning events and performing stunts for children. Previous positions include roles in assembly and electronics at Redbird Flight Simulations, security professional in various clubs, and lab assistant at Austin College Community. William holds an Associate of Science degree in Robotics and Circuitry from Austin Community College, completed in 2017, and possesses a diverse skill set in both robotics and performance arts.
