Stephen A. Murphy

Stephen A. Murphy is the co-founder and CEO of Boom Entertainment. Stephen previously served as the Vice President of Business Development at High 5 Games from September 2010 to April 2014. During their time with the company, they helped H5G transition from a small B2B provider to a globally recognized social gaming company. Stephen also headed the communications, market research, CRM, and social media groups of the company, directly managing about 20 full-time and part-time employees. In addition, they managed much of the day-to-day operations of High 5 Casino, the company's flagship Facebook game. Under their leadership, the game became one of the top-grossing games on Facebook with 4.4/5.0 stars. Stephen also conceptualized and executed H5G’s public campaigns, winning top industry awards such as Best Communications Campaign (American Gaming Association) and Best Manufacturer of 2013 (ICE). In early 2011, they presented a proposal to put core products onto social and mobile platforms, a proposal that was accepted and realized in High 5 Casino. Prior to their role as Vice President of Business Development, Stephen held various positions at H5G including Senior Director of Communications and Online Strategy, Director of Communications and Business Development, and Marketing and Communications Manager.

Stephen A. Murphy's educational career began at Regis High School. Stephen then went on to study political science at Loyola Marymount University, where they earned their BA. After working for a few years, Stephen A. Murphy decided to further their education by earning an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
