Laurie Sussman

Laurie Sussman has a diverse work experience spanning over the years. Laurie recently began working for Boom Supersonic as an Associate General Counsel in April 2021. Before that, they worked for Collins Aerospace as an Assistant General Counsel, specifically for the Avionics division, from November 2018 to April 2021. Prior to Collins Aerospace, Laurie worked at Rockwell Collins, where they held various roles, including Principal Corporate Counsel for Information Management Services from February 2016 to November 2018. Laurie also served as the Government Relations & Regulatory Manager from June 2014 to January 2016 and as a Government Relations and Regulatory Specialist from January 2011 to May 2014.

Laurie's early career includes experiences in the public sector. Laurie worked as a Legal Intern for the U.S. Office of Special Counsel from May 2014 to August 2014. Before that, Laurie worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, where they served as a Professional Staff and Legislative Assistant for the Aviation Subcommittee from August 2008 to December 2011 and as a Staff Assistant for the Oversight & Investigations Staff in the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee from February 2007 to August 2008.

In addition to their work in government, Laurie also has experience in the private sector. Laurie worked as a Direct Response Associate for the National Federation of Independent Business from August 2006 to February 2007. Prior to that, they interned in the Democratic Whip's Office for Steny H. Hoyer in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 2006 to May 2006.

Laurie's early career also includes an internship with the Maryland Department of Transportation Fellows Program from May 2005 to December 2005.

Laurie Sussman obtained a J.D., cum laude degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, from the years 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a B.A. degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, which they attended from 2002 to 2006.

In terms of additional certifications, Laurie Sussman obtained the District of Columbia Bar Admission from the Bar Association of the District of Columbia in October 2017. Additionally, they obtained the Maryland Bar Admission from the Maryland State Bar in December 2015.
