Eric Beier, MD, MBA

Dr. Eric Beier has diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Eric is currently a Partner and Chief Medical Officer at Boomerang Ventures, where they bring healthcare ideas to life by identifying new value drivers and de-risking uncertainties for first-time founders and healthcare systems. Dr. Beier also serves as the Fort Wayne Chapter President at VisionTech Partners | VisionTech Angels, a network of angel investors in Indiana, where they review investment opportunities and develops personal and business networks.

In addition, Dr. Beier co-founded Xillum, a healthcare business intelligence software company, where they provided key performance indicator analytics and exception reporting for radiology groups. Eric was also a Co-Founder and Managing Director at The Liberator Group, a private equity group focused on improving geriatric care and aging-in-place through evidence-based care and integrated technology solutions.

Prior to these roles, Dr. Beier served as the Chief Executive Officer of Matrix-Bio, a cancer diagnostics company that utilized proprietary technology for early and accurate detection of liver cancer. Eric was also the Chief Medical Officer at MediGain, a physician revenue cycle management company, and the Founder and CEO of MedOptima, which provided revenue cycle management and practice management services for medical practices.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Beier was the President of Professional Medical Billing, where they successfully turned around the company's business operations. Eric also worked as an Emergency Physician and ER Medical Director at Professional Emergency Physicians, and as a Productline Manager at Roche Diagnostics, where they evaluated emerging diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.

Eric Beier, MD, MBA pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Hanover College from 1979 to 1983. Eric then attended Indiana University School of Medicine, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine degree from 1983 to 1987. Later, Eric Beier enrolled at the University of Michigan and completed their Master of Business Administration from 1990 to 1992.
