David Watson

David Watson has a diverse work experience in the fields of technical compliance and audit. David most recently worked at Booming Games as the Head of Technical Compliance and previously served as the Technical Compliance Manager. Before joining Booming Games, they worked at eCOGRA as an Assistant Manager, Senior Compliance Auditor, and Compliance Auditor and RCS Manager. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Consultant at Deloitte South Africa, specializing in IT Application Control Reviews and Anti-Money Laundering advisory work. David started their career as an Internal Audit Trainee at BDO South Africa.

David Watson attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Internal Auditing. David then pursued further education at the same university from 2014 to 2015 and earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) Honours degree in Internal Audit.

In addition to their degrees, David also obtained several certifications. In October 2013, they completed the "Foundation of ACL Concepts and Practice" course offered by CQS Technology Holdings. In August 2013, they received a "User Training Certificate of Completion" for the "Basic TeamMate Course" from Wolters Kluwer. In November 2014, David completed the "Internal Auditing Education Partnership programme" provided by The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. Furthermore, in January 2015, they obtained an "Excel 101" certification from Excel Academy. Lastly, in May 2015, David acquired the "Fundamentals - Payroll Audit Reports" certification from Sage Pastel Accounting.
