David Clark

David Clark is a seasoned expert in data science and research, currently serving as the Director of Research & Development at Boomitra since January 2023. In this role, David directs data science research and engineering across the Americas and South Asia, leading a team of 11 in a dynamic startup setting. Prior to this, David held the position of Senior Data Scientist at ClimateAI, where responsibilities included building custom agricultural models and engaging directly with customers. Additional experience includes a Data Scientist role at Sofar Ocean, focusing on deep-learning data assimilation, and leadership at Clark Geoscience Consulting. David's earlier academic contributions include positions as an Assistant Scientist and Postdoctoral Scholar at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. David holds a PhD in Oceanography from UC San Diego and a BS in Physics from UC Santa Barbara.
