Erkki Aaltonen

Erkki Aaltonen is the Managing Director of Yara Growth Ventures, leading the venture capital arm of Yara International since April 2018, with a focus on climate-smart crop solutions encompassing soil health and circular organic practices. In addition to this role, Erkki serves on the boards of several companies, including Verqor, Intelecy, Agrofy, and Boomitra, while also being a Limited Partner and Board Observer for SP Ventures and AP Ventures. Erkki's previous experience includes serving as the Executive Director of startAD, an innovation and entrepreneurship initiative in Abu Dhabi, from 2016 to 2018, and holding board positions at companies such as PlantResponse Biotech and Boost Biomes. Erkki holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Tampere, alongside several prestigious executive education programs from institutions such as INSEAD and Harvard Business School.
