Peter DuCharme

Peter DuCharme has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Peter began their career as a Web Developer at Hill Holliday in 1997, where they administered weekly banner reports and wrote and edited HTML for clients' websites. Peter then worked as a Search Presentation Manager at LYCOS, where they developed and maintained templates for search engine result pages and Tripod Community listings.

In 1999, Peter became the Owner & Partner of Music For Picture LLC, where they composed and produced music for radio and television commercials. Peter managed studio staff, musicians, and recording sessions, and wrote music for campaigns by various high-profile brands.

Peter then joined MIT Press in 2012 as a Developer, where they revised the Drupal-backed site for MIT University's publishing imprint. Peter also worked with the marketing department to improve the online customer request process and assisted the Digital Initiatives group in evaluating tools for XML validation and ePub creation.

In 2016, Peter worked as a Developer for the ICON Illustration Conference, where they designed and built a custom CMS for the biennial illustrators conference. Their responsibilities included implementing event scheduling, participant biographies, and real-time content updates from social media feeds.

From 2012 to 2017, Peter served as the Director of Technology and Development at Nautilus Magazine, a digital and print science magazine. Peter oversaw the technological aspects of the publication, and their contributions led to the magazine receiving prestigious awards such as the Webby for Best Science Website and two National Magazine Awards.

Peter further expanded their experience at New York Magazine in 2018, where they worked as a Web Developer, and at {coding partners], where they served as a Developer in 2019.

Most recently, Peter joined AREA 17 in 2019 as a Senior Application Engineer, where they held a role until 2021. Peter then transitioned to Boomy Corporation in 2023, where they currently work as a Senior Music Automation Engineer.

Peter DuCharme attended Berklee College of Music from 1985 to 1988, where they focused on film scoring. Prior to their enrollment at Berklee, there is no available information about their education history.
