Irina Bolat

Irina Bolat is an accomplished professional in the malting and brewing industry with extensive experience in innovation, quality management, and biotechnology. Currently serving as the Group Innovation Manager at Boortmalt since 2013, Irina leads efforts to transform the company into a leader in process and product innovations while overseeing the BoortmaltX Venture Platform, which collaborates with start-ups to explore the potential of malt. Previous roles include Group Quality Manager at Delft University of Technology and various positions at Heineken Romania, where Irina implemented Total Productive Management and managed fermentation and filtration departments. Irina holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. in Industrial Biotechnology and an MSc in Food Products Control and Expertise, and is pursuing an Executive MBA at Antwerp Management School.
