Derrick van Kersen

Derrick Van Kersen has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Derrick currently holds the position of Head of Technical Support at BORBET, a role they have held since January 2024. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Manager at the same company from May 2017 to January 2024. Before their project management role, Derrick was the Machining Manager at BORBET from March 2014 to April 2017.

Derrick's early work experience includes a position as an Industrial Engineer / Production Planner at BORBET from June 2010 to February 2014. In this role, they were responsible for production planning, process control, line balancing, and process optimization. Derrick also worked on Lean implementation, Kaizen projects, and general continuous improvements.

Before joining BORBET, Derrick worked as an Industrial Engineer - In Service at schaeffler group - LUK Africa from August 2009 to December 2009. Derrick'searliest work experience was as an Electrical Installation Technician - Site Person in Charge at Tube Lines from January 2007 to December 2008.

Derrick Van Kersen pursued a National Diploma in Industrial Engineering from Nelson Mandela University from 2008 to 2010. Derrick further obtained a B-Tech degree in Industrial Engineering from the same university in 2011 and 2012.
