Farida H.

Farida H. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Farida started their career in 1998 as an Accounts Supervisor at Caspian Shipyard Company. Farida then moved on to work as a Contracts Officer at Caspian Shipyard Company (Keppel FELS/SOCAR) from 2001 to 2003, where they were responsible for daily purchasing, preparation of tender packages, and handling rental agreements.

In 2003, they joined Maersk Drilling Azerbaijan as a Contracts Procurement Manager, where they spent seven years handling procurement and logistics for the rig and office. Farida successfully negotiated agreements with main suppliers and achieved significant discounts. Farida then transitioned into the role of Business Support Manager, acting as the local commercial representative around the Caspian Sea and playing a pivotal role in starting operations in different areas of the Caspian Sea.

In 2012, Farida joined Maersk Oil Qatar as the Head of General Purchase and later assumed the role of Drilling and Well Services Team, Procurement, and Sourcing Manager. During their time at Maersk Oil Qatar, they led procurement activities, sourcing, and managed the drilling and well services team.

Currently, Farida is working at North Oil Company Qatar as the Head of Technical Support for Business Support Services. In addition to this role, they have also served as the Lead Procurement Engineer for Drilling and the Tawteen (localization program) Lead.

Overall, Farida H. has held various managerial roles, specializing in procurement, sourcing, logistics, and contract negotiation, working in the oil and gas industry in Qatar and Azerbaijan.

Farida H. obtained a Bachelor of Science, Honour Diploma in Finance and Banking from Azerbaijan State University of Economics • UNEC in 1998. Farida then went on to pursue a Master's Degree with Honour in Finance at the same institution from 1998 to 2000. In 2007, Farida enrolled at Heriot-Watt University to pursue an MBA. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate level qualification from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Farida also pursued another Bachelor's degree in Finance & Banking from Azerbaijan State Economic University. Finally, they completed an MBA program at Heriot Watt, Edinburgh Business School.
