Dave Kirwan

David Kirwan has a diverse work experience spanning across various energy companies. Their most recent role was as the Managing Director at Bord Gáis Energy since 2020. Before that, they held the position of Managing Director UK Home at Centrica from 2019 to 2020, where they also served as the Managing Director UK Customer Operations. Prior to that, they worked at Bord Gais Energy as the Managing Director from 2011 to 2018 and as the Managing Director of Assets from 2006 to 2011. David also worked at firmus energy as the General Manager from 2005 to 2006. Earlier in their career, they worked at Bord Gais Eireann as the Commercial Manager, Transportation from 2004 to 2005, and as a Senior Business Analyst and Business Development Manager, CHP from 2002 to 2004 and 1999 to 2002 respectively. Additionally, they worked at ESB International as an Electrical Site Engineer/Site Manager and later as an Engineering Consultant from 1998 to 1999. Their early career included roles at ESBI Energy and ESB as an Engineering Consultant and Graduate Engineer respectively.

David Kirwan has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from University College Dublin, which they completed from 1988 to 1992. David then pursued further education at University College Cork, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from 2001 to 2003, with a focus on MBA and a doctorate in business economics. Continuing their studies at University College Cork, they completed a Doctorate in Business Administration degree in the Economics of Organization and Management from 2009 to 2012.
