Milton J. Valencia

Reporter at The Boston Globe

Milton Valencia covers the policy and politics of Boston city government, focusing on news that streams from City Hall, to include watchdog accountability and slice-of-life features from the halls of power and the streets of the city, where real people are affected by policies, or the lack of them. He previously covered the federal court system, where he reported on the state’s most high-profile trials including the cases of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, and former House speaker Salvatore F. DiMasi. He also reported on federal law enforcement investigations ranging from terrorism probes to the search for the Gardner Museum paintings. Before that, he covered news as a general assignment reporter, and a regional reporter. He has been with the Globe since July 2007.
