Victoria McGrane is a political correspondent for the Boston Globe. She joined the Globe's Washington, DC bureau, in May 2016, where she covered the 2016 presidential election and Congress in the Trump era. She moved with her family to the Boston area in early 2018, after more than 12 years covering politics and policy in the nation's capital, including six years as a reporter with The Wall Street Journal, and two years with Politico. Victoria grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and Columbus, Ga., and attended Dartmouth College, where she majored in history. After graduation, she got her first break in journalism by landing a job at The Keene Sentinel, in Keene, N.H., covering everything from fires to city government.
