Cathal Byrne

Cathal Byrne has significant experience in strategic planning and project management, primarily at Bord na Móna since 1987. Currently serving as Strategic Planning & Logistics Manager, Cathal oversees the supply of 2.5 million tonnes of peat annually to various power stations, focusing on cost efficiency and quality. Previous roles include Project Manager for software implementations, including Geographic Information Systems and Oracle systems, and leading the introduction of new product lines for the UK market. Cathal also chaired the European industry committee for the EPAGMA Code of Practice and has been involved in numerous collaborative projects, wind farm site assessments, and organizational change models. Educational qualifications include a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin and certifications in project management and process engineering.
