David Charbonneau

David Charbonneau is a seasoned professional in the venture capital and consulting sectors, currently serving as Managing Partner at Boreal Ventures since February 2021, focusing on seed-stage investments in Quebec's deeptech start-ups. Their extensive experience includes board positions at SmartD Technologies and Upchain, as well as contributions to the Comité de Consultation en Gestion de Polytechnique, which David co-founded. Prior to their current roles, David Charbonneau was Associate Principal at BDC within the Industrial, Cleantech, and Energy Venture Fund, managing a significant portfolio that includes several successful acquisitions. Earlier in their career, David Charbonneau worked as a Senior Consultant at KPMG and held advisory and project management positions at Bombardier Aerospace and The Kraft Heinz Company. David Charbonneau holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and has participated in exchange programs at notable institutions, including the Technical University of Munich and the University of Arizona.
