Hanieh Bastani

Hanieh Bastani is a seasoned machine learning engineering lead at Borealis AI since August 2022, bringing extensive experience in software engineering from previous roles at notable companies. At Dropbox, from October 2019 to August 2022, Hanieh served as a tech lead and senior software engineer, overseeing the complete feature lifecycle of content sharing functionalities. Prior experience includes positions as a senior software engineer at Bloomberg LP, contributing to back-end and full-stack development in the News Engineering and Access Control teams, and at Nymi, leading projects focused on wearable authentication technology. Hanieh started a career as a software engineer at Morgan Solar Inc., developing algorithms for photovoltaic systems. Academically, Hanieh holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, a Master of Professional Studies from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
