Geert Venken

Geert Venken has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Geert began their career at Barco, where they served as a Quality Responsible for the final assembly line of high-end displays for the aviation industry. Geert ensured the high quality standards of the finished products and conducted audits to ensure flightworthiness. Following this, they worked at Metes Nv as a Quality Responsible, where they ensured the quality of half fabricates and finished parts for customers.

Next, Geert worked at Facil as a Program Engineer, where they focused on fastening solutions, improving product design, and supporting customer problem-solving. Geert then joined Magna Exteriors and Interiors as a Process Engineer, responsible for developing and improving internal processes and implementing new projects.

Geert's work experience also includes a role at Datwyler Sealing Solutions, where they served as a Global FMEA Moderator. In this role, they were responsible for process risk management, improving the current method of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and creating generic FMEAs for operational locations.

Currently, Geert is working at Borealis. Geert started as a Reliability Engineer and later took on the role of Plant Availability Area Lead, where they managed day-to-day maintenance activities and long-term asset reliability. Currently, they serve as the Plant Availability Transformation Lead, managing a change program in the Maintenance department and setting up a quality management system.
