Emma Niemistö

Emma Niemistö is a seasoned legal professional specializing in construction and projects law. Currently serving as a Partner in the Projects & Construction division at Borenius since May 2023, Emma also holds the position of Vice President of the Real Estate Commission for AIJA, the International Association of Young Lawyers, since September 2022. Prior experience includes a tenure as Partner and Head of Construction at Merilampi Attorneys from January 2017 to May 2023 and various roles at AIJA, including National Representative for Finland from September 2018 to August 2021. Earlier in Emma's career, positions included Counsel at Castrén & Snellman Attorneys Ltd. and Project Engineer/Legal at NCC. Emma holds a Master of Science in Construction Economics & Management from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan and a Master of Laws from the University of Helsinki.
