Ernest Freeman Jr.

Ernest "LEE" Freeman Jr. is an experienced operations manager with a robust background in offshore drilling and maritime operations. Currently serving as Operations Manager for Europe & Africa at Borr Drilling since April 2019, Freeman has also held roles as Rig Manager for the Prospector 5 and the joint venture rigs Gersemi and CME1. Prior experience includes serving as Captain and Offshore Installation Manager for Seadrill from October 2008 to March 2019, managing multiple rigs including West Pegasus. Freeman began a career in maritime operations at Edison Chouest Offshore as Captain of Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessels from 1998 to 2008 and served in the United States Air Force from 1991 to 1997 as a Senior Airman. Education includes attendance at IMD and Florida State University, with a high school diploma from Theodore High School.
