Roald Kirkengen

Roald Kirkengen is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in project management and process engineering. Currently a Project Manager at Borregaard since May 2022, the main focus includes bottleneck analysis and technical production support. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Engineer and Project Manager at AFRY, working on thermal energy storage and energy transfer systems, along with developing control manuals in compliance with regulatory standards. Roald's career also encompasses significant positions at Norske Skog as Production Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Borregaard, where contributions were made in areas such as root cause analysis and project management for investment and improvement initiatives. Earlier roles include senior and project engineering positions at Hafslund Miljøenergi AS and Pöyry Energy AS, as well as extensive experience at Norske Skog Saugbrugs AS in various management and engineering capacities. Roald holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Thermal Energy and Hydropower from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
