Betsy Sanchez Briones is a Community Health Worker at Borrego Health since July 2021 and a Camp/Distance Learning Counselor at The Y (YMCA) since June 2020. In the current role, Betsy focuses on creating culturally relevant programming, fostering relationship-building, and enhancing communication and problem-solving skills among elementary and middle school children. Additionally, Betsy engages with parents in bilingual communication to strengthen the child's support system. Betsy holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Psychobiology, with minors in Global Health and Chicana/x and Central American Studies from UCLA, completed in 2021, and a High School Diploma from Desert Hot Springs High School, earned in 2017.
