Lisa Rusinek has a wealth of experience in communications and social media. Lisa began their career in 2012 as Press Officer for the Young Greens of England and Wales, an unpaid elected position. In 2013, they joined International Service UK as Communications Coordinator, where they were responsible for promoting an overseas volunteering scheme and achieved an increase in recruitment of over 1175%. In 2015, Lisa took on a role as Communications Officer at The Electoral Commission, where they were an active member of the Commission's social media working group and secured partnerships with major social media platforms. Later in 2015, Lisa served as a Project Volunteer at Amazing Grace Complexe Scolaire, teaching English to children of various ages and assisting with fundraising efforts. From 2017 to 2021, Lisa worked at Elections Ontario as Communications Officer, Creative Design & Social Media and Digital Communications Coordinator. In 2021, Lisa joined Borrowell as Social Media & Content Specialist.
Lisa Rusinek has a diverse educational background. Lisa completed their A-Levels from Truro and Penwith College in 2009-2011, majoring in French, English Literature, Biology, and History. Lisa then went on to obtain their Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) in Social & Political Sciences from the University of York in 2011-2014. In 2014-2016, they earned an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. Finally, they attended Fowey Community College from 2000-2005. Additionally, Lisa has obtained a certification in Social Media for Government from LinkedIn in March 2021.
