Mark Nelsen started their career in various positions in TV and Radio News from 1980 to 1991. Mark then worked as a Public Information Officer at Nebraska Game and Parks Commission from 1991 to 1998, where they directed external and internal communication efforts. In 1998, they joined Cabela's as a Senior Marketing Manager, focusing on Retail Marketing and later expanding into Retail/Brand/OMNI. Mark held this position until 2018. In 2019, Mark Nelsen became the Senior Brand Manager at Bosselman Enterprises and later transitioned to the role of Assistant Marketing Director in 2022. Additionally, they have worked as a freelance writer and video producer, with publications in various outdoor magazines and video production experience.
Mark Nelsen completed their high school education in 1975 at Harry A. Burke High School in Omaha, Nebraska, where they obtained their High School Diploma with a focus on General Studies. Mark then pursued higher education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1975 to 1983. During this time, Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture/Journalism.
