Maura Tighe

Maura Tighe is an experienced artistic director and educator, currently serving as Artistic Director and Teacher at Boston Arts Academy since 2009. As a theatre director, Maura has worked on a freelance basis since 1981 and held positions as Adjunct Faculty at Brandeis University and Part Time Faculty at Emerson College in 2010. From 1994 to 2010, Maura owned Maura Tighe Casting, a facility in Boston specializing in commercial, television, and film casting. Maura also offered acting classes tailored for beginners and aspiring voice-over artists. Previous experience includes casting for the production "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and serving as a talent agent and casting director in New York City. Maura holds a Master’s degree in Arts in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Directing from Emerson College.
