Johannes Kung

Johannes Kung is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in bioprocess development and research. Currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer at Boston Bioprocess since March 2023, Johannes specializes in bioprocess validation and scaling for diverse production and regulatory needs. Previous roles include Head of Bioprocess at Evelo Biosciences and Senior Bioprocess Scientist at Motif FoodWorks, Inc., among others. Johannes has a robust background in microbial strain development and has contributed to R&D in contract manufacturing at Cytovance Biologics. Academic achievements include research positions at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, The University of Freiburg, and University of Leipzig, culminating in a PhD in Biochemistry.
