Rachel Farkas

Rachel Farkas is an experienced museum professional currently serving as the Manager of Collections and Exhibitions at the Rose Art Museum since May 2023, where responsibilities include managing a collection of 9,000 items and overseeing policies aligned with the American Alliance of Museums. Prior to this role, Rachel held several positions at the Boston Children's Museum from March 2008 to May 2023, culminating as Curator of Collections, managing over 50,000 objects. Additionally, Rachel served as an educator and managed Asian programs and traveling exhibits. Earlier experience includes a Research Assistant position at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, contributing to significant exhibitions and catalogues. Rachel Farkas holds a Master's degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of Vermont, complemented by language studies in Mandarin Chinese.
