Ashana Hurd

Ashana Hurd is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in urban outreach and professional development. Currently serving as the Assistant Dean of Urban Outreach and Professional Development, Director of Professional Development, and Clinical Faculty at Boston College since September 2015, Ashana supervises graduate practicum students and possesses a robust background in K-12 education, particularly in elementary and special education. Previous roles include Assistant Principal at Boston Public Schools, Associate Director of Teaching, Mentoring and Induction at Lynch School Boston College, and Third Grade SEI Teacher at Boston Public Schools, where Ashana developed professional development initiatives and differentiated instruction strategies. Ashana's educational credentials include a C.A.E.S. in Educational Leadership and Administration and Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Boston College in Elementary Education and History, respectively.
