Boston Lyric Opera
Brett Hodgdon is an accomplished music professional with extensive experience in various roles within the field. Currently serving as the Head of Music and Chorus Director at Boston Lyric Opera and a member of the music staff since January 2011, Brett also holds positions as an Associate Professor of Music at Boston Conservatory at Berklee and as Opera and Vocal Repertoire Faculty at New England Conservatory of Music. In addition, Brett has been a pianist for Emmanuel Music since September 2006 and previously worked as an Instructor of Vocal Literature and Music Director of the Opera Theater at the University of Connecticut from September 2012 to May 2021. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano from the New England Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music in Accompanying and Chamber Music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the same institution.
