Ishan Johnson

Ishan Johnson, CFRE, serves as the Deputy Chief Philanthropy Officer at Boston Lyric Opera, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this, Ishan was the Associate Director of Philanthropy at the Art Institute of Chicago, managing a portfolio of individual donors and championing diversity in philanthropy. Experience includes roles such as Associate Director of Development at Chicago Opera Theater, where Ishan oversaw a significant donor base and led a feasibility study for an endowment campaign, and Manager of Auxiliary Relations at Chicago History Museum, achieving substantial annual revenues. Earlier positions involved consulting for events, development assistance, and performance as a baritone soloist in various opera companies. Ishan holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston University.
