Shubhankar Padwal has worked in a number of roles since 2016. In that year, they worked as a Research Study Coordinator at College of Engineering Pune, where they incorporated induction melting and casting route to synthesize Aluminum Graphite composite to be used as low-density damping material. Shubhankar also worked as a Project Coordinator on an ongoing project to fabricate an indigenous vacuum-assisted arc melting unit for in-house alloy designing. In 2017, they worked as a Summer Research Intern at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, where they alloyed Ni-Ti shape memory alloy with varying Hafnium content from 5-25wt% through vacuum arc melting. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Oklahoma State University, where they tutored and demonstrated students on the fundamentals of heat treatment of plain carbon and alloyed steels and wrought aluminum alloys, and improved wear resistance of Aluminum by 5 times through powder processing route. Currently, they are employed as a Research And Development Engineer at Boston Metal since 2022.

Shubhankar Padwal attended Oklahoma State University from 2018 to 2020, where they earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended COEP Technological University from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Metallurgical Engineering.
