Gerard Bain

Gerard Bain currently serves as Vice President of Biomarker Discovery and Development at Boston Pharmaceuticals since December 2022. Previously, Bain held key roles including Senior Director and Head of Translational Sciences at Morphic Therapeutic, and Clinical Biomarker Director for Rare Disease at Moderna Therapeutics, where responsibilities included developing biomarker strategies for clinical portfolios. Bain's extensive experience in biomarker and clinical development is further highlighted by leadership positions at Shire Pharmaceuticals, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, Wyeth, Aventis, and ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, where initiatives ranged from bioanalytical method implementation to advanced therapeutic program management. Bain earned a Ph.D. in Biology from McGill University, complemented by education from the University of Calgary and Washington University School of Medicine.
