Nicola Shen

Nicola Shen is an experienced epidemiologist currently serving as Epidemiologist II at the Boston Public Health Commission since February 2022, where analyses are conducted to monitor health outcomes among Boston residents. Prior to this role, Nicola was a Senior Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, focusing on statistical analyses and data management for the Johns Hopkins HIV Clinical Cohort. Earlier experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins, a Program Coordinator at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, and a Project Management Intern at the Rhode Island Hospital Outpatient Clinic. Nicola holds a Master of Health Sciences in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese and Biology from Tufts University.
