Dr. Maisha Grant

Dr. Maisha Grant, Ed.D, currently serves as the Director of Education at the Boston Symphony Orchestra, leading music education initiatives and managing staff to enhance equitable access for diverse students. As the Founder and CEO of Maisha’s Melodies, Dr. Grant has established a thriving digital music community focused on Gospel music. Previous roles include Director of Center for Public Leadership Programs at Harvard Kennedy School, where oversight of fellowship programs and diversity efforts was a priority, and adjunct professorship at Lesley University in International Higher Education. Dr. Grant's extensive leadership experience spans various educational settings including as a school principal in both Cambridge and Boston Public Schools, focusing on transformative practices to elevate student achievement. Dr. Grant holds multiple degrees in Educational Leadership and related fields from prestigious institutions, emphasizing a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
