Dr. Alex Marrero

Dr. Alex Marrero currently serves as the Superintendent of Denver Public Schools and holds positions as an Adjunct Professor at both Boston University and Manhattan University, where expertise is applied in school improvement science and leadership education. Dr. Marrero has a rich background in educational leadership, previously acting as Interim Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in various school districts, and has over a decade of experience in instructional and administrative roles within the NYC Department of Education. A well-educated leader, Dr. Marrero possesses multiple advanced degrees and certificates, including a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Russell Sage College and certifications from Columbia and Harvard Universities in executive coaching and educational leadership, respectively.
