Jason Samaroo

Jason Samaroo is a Graduate Research Fellow at Boston University since August 2020, where significant contributions include establishing molecular cloning and protein purification methods and achieving proficiency in microscopy techniques. In addition to research, Jason has served as a Graduate Teaching Fellow, delivering innovative lesson plans and managing sizable undergraduate lab sections with high ratings. Experience as an Undergraduate Student Mentor involved guiding interdisciplinary research projects, while leadership roles such as Emerging Scholars Graduate Committee Chair and Faculty Search Graduate Committee Chair focused on fostering collaboration and enhancing teaching pedagogy. A recent Graduate Fellow position at the Pardee Center involved developing frameworks for sustainable food systems and engaging with policymakers. Jason holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is pursuing a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Boston University.
