Kamrhan Farwell

Kamrhan Farwell is an accomplished communications executive with extensive experience in higher education and media. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of University Relations at Boston University since April 2025, Kamrhan leads a high-performing marketing, strategic communications, and government relations team while directly supporting President Melissa Gilliam. Previously, Kamrhan held the position of Vice Chancellor of Communications at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, overseeing all institutional communications and media relations. Previous roles include Vice Chancellor and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Communications at the University of Pittsburgh, and Executive Editor of Publications at the University of Texas at Dallas. Kamrhan's background in journalism includes significant leadership positions at notable publications such as the Dallas Morning News and The Press-Enterprise. Kamrhan earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications with an emphasis in journalism from California State University, Fullerton.
