Mike Gaines

Mike Gaines is the Owner, Visual Effects Producer, and Artist at InvisFX since January 2007, specializing in visual effects and post-production design for film and television, with a focus on "invisible" effects. In addition to this role, Mike serves as an Instructor for the "Intro to Visual Effects" course at Boston University since January 2022 and has been a Volunteer for Comfort Zone Camp since January 2010. Previous experience includes positions as Visual Effects Producer at Sony Pictures Entertainment from February 2013 to June 2015, various roles at The Totally Rad Show from March 2009 to November 2012, and multiple positions at Boston University College of Communication from June 2001 to August 2022, including Assistant Director and Instructor. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from Boston University, completed in 2004, and attended Walt Whitman High School from 1996 to 2000.
