Martin Parsons

Creative Lead at University of Bath

Martin Parsons has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of animation and visual effects. Martin started their career in 1992 as an Animator at 4:2:2 Videographic Design and later joined SVC Television as a Senior Animator. Martin worked closely with clients, covering all aspects of computer graphics. Martin then joined Framestore as the Lead Animator and Rigger, where they created a FACS based facial rigging system for a mini-series and received multiple awards for their outstanding visual effects work. Martin later joined Double Negative as the Head of Creatures and co-developed a facial performance capture system for Disney's production of 'John Carter'. In 2015, Martin became the Head of Studio at CAMERA at the University of Bath. Martin recently joined the University of Bath as a Creative Lead. Additionally, Martin is the Director of The Face For It Ltd, where they build rigs optimized for facial action data reproduction.

Martin Parsons attended Bournemouth University from 1990 to 1991, where they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Animation. Prior to that, they studied at Falmouth School of Art from 1981 to 1984, earning a BA Honours degree in Fine Art.
