Timothy O'Shea is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of biomedical engineering, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Boston University since July 2020. Prior to this role, Timothy O'Shea held a prestigious postdoctoral fellowship at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, focusing on spinal cord injury research, and completed postdoctoral research at UCLA in collaboration with Michael Sofroniew and Timothy Deming. Timothy O'Shea obtained a PhD in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics from the Harvard-MIT Program in Health Sciences and Technology, where the doctoral research centered on developing hydrogel biomaterial platforms for spinal cord injury therapies.
