Dorothy Shamonsky has extensive work experience in the field of UX strategy and research. Dorothy is currently serving as the Chief UX Strategy Officer at Boston UX. Prior to that, they held the position of Part-time Adjunct Professor at Brandeis University in 2018. From 2011 to 2018, they worked at Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. (ICS) as the Director of UI/UX R&D & Chief UX Strategy Officer. Dorothy also served as a Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2011. Their early career includes working as an Interactive Producer at Viacom from 1992 to 1995.
Dorothy Shamonsky has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture and Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. Dorothy also holds a Master of Science in Visual Studies (SMvis) degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Media Lab. Additionally, Dorothy earned a PhD in Design & Computation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
