Lisa Messick

Lisa Messick is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in financial management and reporting. Currently serving as a Senior Accountant at Boston VA Research Institute, Inc. since November 2021, Lisa is responsible for preparing journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and supervising accounts payable as well as collections of accounts receivable. Prior to this role, Lisa held the position of Senior Accountant at Elusys Therapeutics, Inc. for over 12 years, where responsibilities included month-end closing, financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP, and managing government contracts. Lisa's career began as a Full Charge Bookkeeper/Controller at Paterson Card & Paper Co. Inc., overseeing accounting activities for multiple entities. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from Montclair State University.
