Elizabeth Sheehan

Research Associate II at BostonGene

Elizabeth Sheehan has a diverse work experience in various industries. Elizabeth started their career as a Staff Member at Union College Student Activities from September 2016 to April 2017. Elizabeth then worked as a Math Tutor, providing extra help for college-level Calculus students and devising new teaching methods, from June 2017 to May 2019.

In November 2018 to September 2019, they were a Server and Host at 99 Restaurant & Pub, where they served diverse audiences in an accommodating and respectful manner in a fast-paced environment. Elizabeth returned to 99 Restaurant & Pub in May 2020 as a Server until September 2021.

From August 2021 to July 2023, Sheehan worked as a Molecular Genetics Technologist at the Center for Human Genetics, Inc. Elizabeth'srole involved executing high complexity molecular biology laboratory procedures for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of genetic diseases. Elizabeth performed tasks such as DNA isolation, analyzing lab results, and collaborating with the Cytogenetics lab. Elizabeth also assisted with accessioning samples and provided training.

Additionally, Sheehan worked at OSG Paintball starting in May 2020 as a Sales Team Member and Bartender. Elizabeth'sresponsibilities included providing sales assistance and serving customers as a bartender.

Currently, Sheehan is a Research Associate at BostonGene since July 2023.

Elizabeth Sheehan attended Bishop Guertin High School from 2012 to 2016. After graduating from high school, they attended Union College for one year in 2016-2017, where they studied Bioengineering. Elizabeth then transferred to the University of New Hampshire, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics from 2017 to 2021.
