Joe Lennerz

Joe Lennerz currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at BostonGene, a position held since November 2023. Previously, Joe Lennerz held various roles at Massachusetts General Hospital from July 2014 to November 2023, including Medical Director and Associate Director at the Center for Integrated Diagnostics, as well as Pathologist. Joe Lennerz began a career in pathology at the Institute of Pathology from August 2011 to May 2014 and previously worked at Massachusetts General Hospital from July 2009 to June 2011 as a Pathologist and Fellow in Surgical and Gastrointestinal Pathology. Joe Lennerz completed a Fellowship in Molecular Genetic Pathology at Washington University in St. Louis from July 2005 to June 2009 after training in Anatomic Pathology. Educational credentials include an MD, PhD, and MSc in Medicine, Pathophysiology, and Molecular Medicine from the University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. Joe Lennerz also has a background in pathology civil service and dissection technique training in Germany.
