Statistical Services Unit Assistant Coordinator at Botswana International University of Science & Technology

Chipo Zidana is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in statistics and mathematical modeling. Currently serving as a Committee Member for the Botswana CODATA National Committee Forum since August 2024, Chipo advocates for the adoption of Open Data Open Science Policies and contributes expertise on open data in an African context. Additionally, Chipo holds the position of Interim Executive Committee Member for the Zimbabwe Statistical Association since December 2023 and has been the Assistant Coordinator of the Statistical Services Unit at Botswana International University of Science & Technology since November 2019. Previous roles include a decade-long tenure as a lecturer in Applied Mathematics at the National University of Science and Technology and a position as a Dealer at Beverley Building Society. Chipo holds a PhD in Statistics from Cukurova University and multiple degrees in Mathematical Modelling and Applied Mathematics from the University of Zimbabwe and NUST, highlighting a robust academic background in the field.
